Babies & Kids

The health of our kids is the health of our community. We want abundant health for our kids.

Most of the nervous system—that connection between brain and body—is developed during the first three months of life. Since it’s critical to make sure the nervous system operates at its fullest potential, we recommend chiropractic care for children as early as possible. Many of our families even stop by on their way home from the birthing center or hospital.

We don’t know many kids who look forward to seeing the doctor. But when children come to us, they’re excited to call first dibs on the adjusting table. We actively talk to our youngest patients about what we’re doing during their visits, and teach them about chiropractic care as part of a healthy lifestyle.

We help kids with:
Digestion
Concentration and focus
Allergies
Sports performance
Immunity

 FAQs

  • We get it. Most people think only people in pain go to the chiropractor. The reality is, chiropractic care is about enhancing overall health. We want your child’s nervous system to function at its best.

  • We have been able to put many of unsure children at ease about chiropractic care with toys we keep here in the office, a sticker for a job well done, and even an adjustment for a favorite stuffed animal. We have kids of our own, so we’re pros at showing that a trip to the chiropractor is fun, and there’s no reason to worry.

  • Yes. We have a high success rate with children facing serious interventions for repeated ear infections. After receiving care, little ears have the best chance to drain like they should when the body is functioning to the fullest potential.

  • Sometimes it’s tough to tell why babies are fussy. It may be a digestive issue, a food allergy, or a misalignment in the spine. We get to the bottom of whatever is bothering baby and address it. We’re proud to have a great success rate with colicky babies.

  • Yes, we have paperwork specific to our pediatric patients that you can fill out before their appointment.

  • Yes. Adjusting a child involves a gentle touch. We do not use thrust on babies or young children. We use our fingertips to hold a light pressure on an area that needs attention.

  • As with adults, the new-patient procedure for a child is a two-visit process that involves an examination and treatment, then a report of findings. After that, your child will be under our regular care until we can transition them to our cost effective maintenance plan.

  • Parents often report that their child sleeps for hours after an adjustment, or they fill their diaper. If your baby has been crying or unable to have a bowel movement, then you understand the relief that most parents feel after baby gets adjusted.
